Advance Power Inc. is the world's first fully stocked store/warehouse exclusively dedicated to energy usage, control and independence. We stock everything you need: wire, safety switches, solar panels, mounts inverters, conduit, plus all the the hard to find items necessary to do the job right. We are the largest supplier of L-16 batteries on the West Coast.
We are the master distributor for most of the products we carry and can usually the highest quality products at wholesale pricing. Our water pumping department is fully stocked with pumps, pipes, valves, controllers, storage tanks for water
delivery and pressurization systems. Our pumping systems can be powered by solar, grid, inverter, generator or DC power.
Our thermal department is fully stocked with all the products necessary for solar hot water, hydronic heating and space heating. We also have a complete contractor department.

We do not have a sales department. Our advertising budget is less than one quarter of one percent of our gross sales.
We believe in what our name represents - "Advance: There's nothing else like it".
Our business is totally powered by a primary power system with a 160+Kw battery bank and a 22kW pure sine wave
inverter.It is much cleaner and more reliable than the local utility company and we don't care if the utility power is
on, off, surging or sagging. We are totally independent when the utility grid has problems. Our solar powered utility
interface system feeds the grid all day. We replenish our battery bank at night, when off peak rates are in effect.
Our primary system is also powered, during the day, by its own independent solar array. All our lighting is highly efficient T-8. We heat our building with vacuum tube solar thermal space heating with highly efficient boilers as backup.

We are as independent as you can get and still be connected to the local utility for electricity and gas. This minimizes the utility's strangle hold by allowing us to control their pricing, service and volatility.
The owners of Advance Power Inc. have lived off the grid for over 30 years. They are one of the first in the world to
be totally solar, hydro and wind powered. They have had numerous opportunities to get grid power for their home but have always refused.
That's where the "zapsucker" came from. We knew early on there was a problem. It's a bug that sucks all the money out of your wallet and zaps all your power.
