The best metering system we have found is the
Tri Metric. 12 and 24 volt, plus a 48 volt adapter is available. Multifunctional metering system. Displays amps (up to 500 amps), volts and resetable amp hours. Displays how many hours ago batteries were fully charged. Total number of amp hours removed from the batteries. Calculates charge efficiency. Adjustable time constants for the current charged parameters. Plus, total charge removed since the batteries were last fully charged, deepest discharge, minimum battery volts, maximum battery volts. We include the shunt in the meter price.

Xantrex Meter:
12, 24, or 48 volt. These meters measure cumulative amp hours removed, monitor battery bank usage which can be used to estimate battery life. They record days since full, days since the battery bank was fully charged which encourages proper battery management by warning of system problems. Battery high and low voltages are resettable.
